NUTTY BAKING CAMP
In this camp we explore the world of healthy baking. Every recipe we make is made with nut flours rather then wheat flours, we will use honey and maple syrup instead of sugar. Which makes this camp the perfect baking camp for kids with gluten, sugar, and soy sensitivities. It is paleo approved, chuck full of protein and still so much fun! (please be aware that kids with celiac disease may not participate, since we do use gluten on our campus)
We will absolutely still decorate and have super creative baked goods. I don't want the kids to miss out on anything.
All of our camps are structured so that each student has plenty of hands-on experience, measuring, weighing, making batter and decorations. The kids will receive a lot of information about why recipes work, what methods are used and how to troubleshoot in case something doesn’t work out.
We talk about and implement excellent sanitary practices, as well as food and kitchen safety.
My goal is to give each student the confidence and knowledge to bake things in their own kitchen.
In each camp the kids will receive all the recipes used and a book from Bake Austin to write them down, as well as a certificate of completion.
