How to make these adorable Cheeseburger cupcakes:
Who doesn't love these adorable cheeseburger cupcakes? Ever heard about food Imposters? Well, let me tell you kids absolutely love these. Food that looks like other foods. Hot Dogs made of cake, Spaghetti and meatballs that are made from icing, and cheeseburgers like these!
They are so easy to make. All you need is some vanilla cupcakes, no-bake chocolate cookies, fondant, and a little butter cream icing. Most of these things oyu can pick up at your local grocery store (or have them delivered)
This makes for an impromptu hands-on party or a fun family activity!

This makes for an impromptu hands-on party or a fun family activity!
Step 1:Make your favorite vanilla cupcakes, (see our recipe below)
Gather fondant, butter cream icing, food coloring, a little powdered sugar and make burger patties out of the no-bake chocolate cookie recipe. |
Step 2:Color your fondant green for lettuce, and yellow for cheese. Now cut shapes out that represent the cheese - a square, and a leaf shape for the lettuce. Don't worry they do not have to be too realistic looking.

Step 3:Dye the buttercream brownish yellow for mustard and red for ketchup.
Cut the cupcakes in half horizontally and spread the mustard on the bottom half of your burger bun. |
Step 4:Add your burger patty, add the cheese (let it melt a little by flatting the corners down) add the lettuce by crinkling up the fondant a little. then add ketchup and the top bun.

TIP: For a more realistic look, mix a little powdered sugar with a tiny bit of water and the tiniest drop of brown food coloring, mix and apply to the top of the burger buns.

INGREDIENTS:
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened 1 3/4 cup sugar 4 eggs 3 cups flour 2 Tbsp cornstarch 1 tsp salt 1 3/4 tsp baking powder 1 cup milk 2 tsp vanilla |
